
The ICOP2024 National Organizing Committee are excited to announce the call for abstracts is now open.
We invite everyone working or interested in the field of permafrost to submit an abstracts to indicate interest in submitting a full paper for ICOP2024. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to share the latest research, findings and advances in the field of permafrost science and engineering. The ICOP2024 program emphasizes the multidisciplinary nature of permafrost science and engineering as well as local and Traditional Knowledge. The conference will focus on a wide range of topics related to Community; Education; Permafrost Environments; Permafrost Geomorphology and Hazards; Permafrost Carbon Feedback; Permafrost Hydrology and Wetland Dynamics; Permafrost Infrastructure; Cold Regions Engineering Modelling, Characterization, Observation, and Testing; Microbial Ecology in Permafrost; Remote Sensing of Permafrost; Waste Containment in Permafrost; and Monitoring Permafrost Conditions and Processes. We welcome abstracts related to these topics and other relevant subjects, and encourage contributions from both academia and industry.
Please note that delegates wishing to give an oral or poster presentation (in-person) at ICOP2024 must submit either:
- A Conference Paper (6-8 pages), for which we are now soliciting 250-word abstracts; or
- An Extended Abstract (2 pages), due 31 January 2024.
