Remote Sensing Officer, Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System (SIOS) in Longyearbyen, Svalbard
The position will:
- Develop and coordinate SIOS remote sensing services;
- Coordinate activities developed together with the SIOS remote sensing working group;
- Plan and arrange workshops, webinars, online conferences and training courses;
- Take part in preparation, management, and coordination of externally funded projects supporting the further development of SIOS RI;
- Represent SIOS in international scientific conferences and initiatives such as various space agencies (e.g. ESA, GEO, etc);
- Follow the scientific progress and discussion in the field of Arctic Earth System Science (ESS);
- Position includes travelling both nationally and abroad;
- Might be given other tasks in certain periods.
